Did Jim Bowie die valiantly at the Alamo? ?

Most reports were that he was sick while in the Alamo. He was a truly great trailblazing American and Southerner. Kids today should know about him as well as Davy Crockett, Robert E. Lee, Thomas J. (Stonewall) Jackson, and .........of course George Washington. All good Southerners and Americans who helped in some way to build the nation as it was before political correctness ran amok.
